Novapak Introduces Shoreline^TM Trigger Sprayers

Novapak family of ShorelineTM PET Trigger Sprayer Containers in 32, 24 and 16 oz. sizes.

EATONTOWN, NJ — An all-new Shoreline^TM family of PET trigger sprayer containers in 16, 24 and 32 oz. sizes for household, automotive and industrial/chemical packaging was introduced by Novapak Corporation.

The containers measure 8.334"H x 3.750"W x 2.046"D (16 oz.), 8.834"H x 4.250"W x 2.447"D (24 oz.) and 9.152"H x 4.530"W x 3.040"D (32 oz.), and weigh 36.0, 42.0/41.0, and 50 gm respectively.

All are stocked with an M28SP400 neck for immediate shipment, and are also offered with a 28 mm ratchet neck.

The ergonomic shape and texture of the grip resulted from consumer focus groups in which new designs were evaluated against competitive grips for comfort when dry and when moistened with slippery products.

A two-stage injection-stretch process separates injection molding of universal preforms from blow molding of finished containers, eliminating the set-up time and tooling costs associated with concurrent molding and blowing of dedicated preforms in single stage processes.

The smaller size of universal preforms is also said to increase blow ratios, orientation of PET molecules and strength of the blown container.

The savings allows marketers to capitalize on PET's impact resistance, stiffness and clarity in small to mid-size runs.
